Duane Mallaber

Duane MallaberH. Duane Mallaber LMT, ALST holds a BA in Business and Management / Marketing from the University of Maryland European Division (cum Laude) 1985, is a 1999 graduate of the New York Institute of Massage, Inc., a licensed massage therapist with the state of New York (1999; license #012284), and is a certified Advanced LaStone® (2003). In the spring of 2003 Duane became a certified instructor for "Original Body" with LaStone® Therapy, Inc.

In addition he has studied Therapeutic Touch, Body Electric, energetic healing, and Native American Spirituality. Duane is a certified healer with the Church of the Living Spirit and has the blessing of the medicine chief of the Bear Tribe to pour sweat lodge in the Bear Tribe tradition. He has completed Reiki I & II, Active Assisted Isolated Stretching with Aaron Mattes and treatment of elbow /forearm/hand conditions with James Waslaski.

In 2007 Duane studied traditional Cherokee Bodywork technique with Dr. Lewis Mehl-Medrona.

He has also studied the work of Barbara Ann Brennan and Dr. Brugh Joys. For those who cannot handle excessive manipulation or whose immune systems are already overtaxed, DMTM offers relaxation massage with various forms of energy work at the same rates as traditional Swedish massage.

When not sharing the joys of body work with others Duane enjoys sculpting, painting, gardening, and reading.
